In this chapter book, we interviewed 10 fathers who are also stepfathers. We analysed their discursive productions, in which fathers stress the importance of time necessary for building rituals and traditions, but also because everyone can accept the ties that make up the new family constellation. It is clear in all the interviews that being a good father in a step-family is linked to a good parental collaboration between ex-spouses and to the development of a family alliance between all adults and children.
