This collection of essays emphasises the relationship between the architectonic inventions of Primaticcio, the lessons of the Italian masters and the connections established with Lescot, Delorme and Bullant in France, covering the stages of his architectural activity through its development in Italy and the works constructed in Meudon, Fontainebleau, Dampierre and Saint-Denis.
