Il rating delle università del CENSIS: un'analisi critica.

In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the problem of the evaluation of scientific research and, more generally, the entire system of university education, even in terms of a more prudent allocation of scarce financial resources. It therefore becomes ever more urgent the need for indicators of synthesis of the various academic institutions, on the basis of which to make a comparison between them. The present work, starting from a critical examination of the ranking of Italian universities proposed annually by CENSIS Services, addresses the problem of the choice of indicators and lays the foundation for the construction of a valid criterion of aggregation of the collected information.

Negli ultimi anni un’attenzione sempre maggiore è stata rivolta al problema della valutazione della ricerca scientifica e, più in generale, dell’intero sistema formativo universitario, anche in funzione di una più oculata assegnazione di risorse finanziarie scarseggianti. Diventa quindi sempre più pressante l’esigenza di disporre di indicatori di sintesi delle diverse realtà accademiche, sulla base dei quali effettuare un confronto tra le stesse. Il presente lavoro, partendo da un esame critico della graduatoria degli atenei italiani proposta annualmente dal Censis Servizi, affronta il problema della scelta degli indicatori e pone le basi per la costruzione di un valido criterio di aggregazione delle informazioni raccolte.
