In a number of register in the State Archive of Bologna it is possible to find sketches, little drawings and other traces realized by notaries who were working at those records. This corpus of images allows to reflect on the drawing as social experience in a highly alphabetized medieval society as Bologna was.
In molti registri conservati nell'Archivio di Stato di Bologna è possibile trovare schizzi, piccoli disegni e altre testimonianze lasciate dai notai che lavoravano a quei documenti. Questo corpus di immagini consente di riflettere sul disegno come esperienza sociale in una società medievale fortemente alfabetizzata come era Bologna.
