EMAS Sistema comunitario di ecogestione ed audit

The first volume deals with the theme of environmental certification, detailing the origins, evolution, reference standards, the persons involved. Therefore, focuses on EMAS dealing with: the initial environmental review, the setting of the management and conduct of internal audits, the mode of representation of the information through the environmental statement, the activities of system verification and validation environmental statement, the application for registration to the competent body and the use of the logo. Finally, the text examines the effectiveness of EMAS focusing on the motivations and expectations that drive organizations to participate, the costs and the time required to achieve the registration and possible benefits to business and the community.

Il volume affronta dapprima il tema della certificazione ambientale, illustrandone le origini, l’evoluzione, le norme di riferimento, i soggetti coinvolti. Quindi, si sofferma sul sistema EMAS trattando: l’analisi ambientale iniziale, l’impostazione del sistema di gestione e la conduzione degli audit interni, le modalità di rappresentazione delle informazioni attraverso la dichiarazione ambientale, le attività di verifica del sistema e di convalida della dichiarazione ambientale, la domanda di registrazione all’organismo competente e l’uso del logo. Da ultimo, il testo prende in esame l’efficacia del sistema EMAS soffermandosi sulle motivazioni e sulle aspettative che spingono le organizzazioni ad aderirvi, sui costi e sui tempi necessari per conseguire la registrazione e sui possibili vantaggi per le imprese e per la collettività.
