The ceilings of Buddhist Caves along the Northern Silk Road are totally decorated by representations, throughout monoscenic system, of jataka and stories of Buddha's Life. Many of them have been identified, but a good number still waits for a lecture. This article identifies for the first time in Cave 43 of Kumtura Buddhist Complex two representations of the "Story of the Buddha and the Skull-tapper", till now known only in Gandhara Sculptures.
