Il voto come decisione. Riflessioni teoriche per una ricerca

The research described in the book that include this paper provides a portrait of the citizen-voters, analyzing predispositions, attitudes, values, priorities, biographical aspects of the respondents in order to identify some relevant psychological and sociological dimensions of the electoral behavior. In the first part of the paper I analyze a wide range of theoretical models drawn from the literature on electoral behavior: the standard rational choice model, the cognitive consistency (primary socialization) model, limited rational choice model. In the second part of the paper reflections on the different ways to conceptualize / theorize voting as a decision making process are taken to develop methodological reflections on strategies for collecting data about electoral behavior.
