The objective of this study is to conceptualize and delineate the parameters of the term mediterranean. Consequently, the inquiry focuses less on defining what the Mediterranean Sea is ontologically, and more on theorizing what constitutes a mediterranean space as a distinct analytical classification. By simultaneously investigating and constructing this categorical framework, this work seeks to establish the foundations for a comprehensive Geopolitical Theory of Mediterraneans. This theoretical apparatus is intended to facilitate the systematic analysis of the frequency, nature, operational dynamics, and core attributes of all semi-enclosed intra-continental seas that, by virtue of specific structural and geostrategic homologies, can be classified as bona fide mediterranean systems.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to conceptualize and delineate the parameters of the term mediterranean. Consequently, the inquiry focuses less on defining what the Mediterranean Sea is ontologically, and more on theorizing what constitutes a mediterranean space as a distinct analytical classification. By simultaneously investigating and constructing this categorical framework, this work seeks to establish the foundations for a comprehensive Geopolitical Theory of Mediterraneans. This theoretical apparatus is intended to facilitate the systematic analysis of the frequency, nature, operational dynamics, and core attributes of all semi-enclosed intra-continental seas that, by virtue of specific structural and geostrategic homologies, can be classified as bona fide mediterranean systems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
