The reconstruction of key stages in the scientific debate on hys terical disorders illuminates the epistemological revolution that, between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, came to define emerging dynamic psychiatry through the categories of trauma, affect, representation, and personality. The evolving etiological models of hysteria reveal deep over laps and continuities among seminal clinical perspectives (Charcot, Janet, Breuer, Freud), from which the therapeutic role of language emerges as a means of re-semanticising experience and re-aggregating subconscious psychic series. Against the shared backdrop of the tension between désa grégation and integration, the comparison between the pre-psychoanalytic talking cure and later metapsychological accounts of inner verbal traces outlines the maturation of Freud’s view of language as a formative and translational function in the production of preconscious material. Abstract
This inte gration supports our interpretation of the treatment of neuroses as a dialog ical process of interiorisation, re-signification of traumatic representations, and reconstitution of a unified selfI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
