Elettra e l’Angelo. Una riscrittura metaletteraria di Fabrizia Ramondino

This contribution aims to analyse the narrative rewriting of the figure of Electra by Fabrizia Ramondino in the short story L’Angelo (1983). Within the framework of a re-narration that proceeds from the biographical terrain of the writer, the mythical and psychoanalytical Electra will be represented in terms not of an overturning of the destiny assigned to her, but of a loosening of its ties, under the sign of the relationship established by the protagonist with literature. Indeed, it is through reading — understood here as the discovery of a principle of fluidity as an alternative to the logic of non-contradiction — that Elettra-Fabrizia can save herself from the pain of growing up and the losses associated with it. In this sense, rewriting becomes one with a reflection on the liberating and subversive potential that pertains to literature in general.
