The article describes the project for the development of a WebGIS information system for the Palazzo Farnese Gardens in Caprarola, with the aim of improving site management and its dissemination to users. The fundamental prerequisite was to apply consolidated integrated digital survey procedures for the knowledge of historic gardens intended as "vegetal architectures" whose conservation can also be facilitated by innovative information digitization tools. Three different acquisition techniques were used and merged together. Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) for the architectural parts, the SLAM Mobile Scanner for mapping accessible wooded and green areas, and drone photogrammetry (SAPR) for the aerial acquisition of the entire area and the canopies. The integration of the different point clouds required complex alignment, georeferencing, and post-processing procedures using filters for homogenization and noise reduction, ensuring the reliability of the three-dimensional model. The Geographic Information System (GIS) was structured to acquire, manage, and visualize data on vegetation, systems, and the overall architecture. The WebGIS system includes a public map for dissemination purposes and a restricted-access one for data management. The system is a flexible starting point for the continuous updating and implementation of data.

Abstract
The system is a flexible starting point for the continuous updating and implementation of data.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
