Thinking of unsustainability as a provocation means reaffirming that, in order to be truly sustainable, architecture must once again become, first and foremost, significant: a bearer of durability and permanence, as well as a manifestation of the contingent and the immediate, capable of renewing itself by becoming rooted in places. Only in this way can architecture escape from the drift of spectacle and planned obsolescence, and reclaim its original role, that of giving form to dwelling in the world.

Abstract
Thinking of unsustainability as a provocation means reaffirming that, in order to be truly sustainable, architecture must once again become, first and foremost, significant: a bearer of durability and permanence, as well as a manifestation of the contingent and the immediate, capable of renewing itself by becoming rooted in places. Only in this way can architecture escape from the drift of spectacle and planned obsolescence, and reclaim its original role, that of giving form to dwelling in the world.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
