Prejudices and stereotypes often influence the way we interact with others. Especially in the health field, these can invalidate the necessary dialogic relationship between patient and health professional/doctor, effectively precluding effective care, understood as global care of the person. To prevent the occurrence of prejudices and/or stereotypes or to promote their abatement, it is necessary to work on the training of health personnel. In this essay, after a rich explanation of how stereotypes and prejudices develop and affect human relationships, the theme of training will be addressed with a specific didactic proposal.

Abstract
Prejudices and stereotypes often influence the way we interact with others. Especially in the health field, these can invalidate the necessary dialogic relationship between patient and health professional/doctor, effectively precluding effective care, understood as global care of the person. To prevent the occurrence of prejudices and/or stereotypes or to promote their abatement, it is necessary to work on the training of health personnel. In this essay, after a rich explanation of how stereotypes and prejudices develop and affect human relationships, the theme of training will be addressed with a specific didactic proposal.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
