This paper presents the first archaeological results of the Hagia Polis Project at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Drawing on ongoing excavations, it offers a preliminary reconstruction of the site's long-term development, from the Iron Age quarry and its later agricultural and funerary use to the Constantinian monumental complex and its subsequent transformations. By integrating stratigraphic evidence with architectural analysis and interdisciplinary scientific research, the study proposes new perspectives on the historical topography of one of Christianity's most important sacred places while establishing a framework for the comprehensive publication of the excavation results.
