3D MODELING & BIM. Nuove Frontiere

The book collects the contributions of researchers, profes- sionals and operators in the field, on the state of research in the field of 3D Modeling & BIM. It is interesting to check how, by analyzing the “Keywords” present in the papers, there are the most common and foun- ding the theme, such as the terms BIM, HBIM, 3Dmodeling, VR, AR, Interoperability. At the same time we can see how the authors have brought out new key words, with greater awa- reness of their centrality, sometimes drawing on similar fields of study, which together manifest an acceleration in the critical ability to tackle the general theme of Information Modeling, identifying its criticalities and shaping it with innovative and optimized features. The new “Keywords” are “Level of Reliabi- lity”, “Model checking”, “Combine Modeling”, “Algorithms aided design”, “Complexity”, “Design analysis” and “Dataset”. Going beyond the perceptive-interpretative level of the keywords, we enter into the merits of the contents, rearran- ging the themes of the digital connected to the activities of knowledge, ideation and communication of the anthropized space. Proceeding from the general to the particular, it is re- corded in the evolution of the activities previously identified a greater awareness of the central role of digital processing. In particular, the operational paradigm of the digital used as an instrument for the automation of old methodologies in favor of digital as an aid for the definition of new processes seems increasingly evident.

Il volume raccoglie i contributi dei ricercatori, dei profes- sionisti e degli operatori del settore, sullo stato della ricerca nell’ambito del 3D Modeling &BIM. È interessante verificare come, analizzando le “Keywords” presenti nei contributi, siano presenti quelle più comuni e fondanti il tema, come i termini BIM, HBIM, 3Dmodeling, VR, AR, Inte- roperabilità. Allo stesso tempo si può constatare come gli autori abbiano fatto emergere, con maggiore consapevolezza delle loro centralità, nuove parole chiave, attingendo a volte a settori di stu- dio affini, che nel loro insieme manifestano un’accelerazione nella capacità critica di affrontare il tema generale dell’Information Modeling, individuandone le criticità e plasmandolo con innovati- ve e ottimizzate funzionalità. Le nuove “Keywords” sono “Level of Reliability”, “Model checking”, “Combine Modeling”, “Algorithms aided design”, “Complexity”, “Design analysis” e “Dataset”. Oltrepassando il livello percettivo-interpretativo delle parole chiave, si entra nel merito dei contenuti, riordinando le tema- tiche del digitale collegate alle attività di conoscenza, ideazione e comunicazione dello spazio antropizzato. Procedendo dal generale al particolare, si registra nell’evoluzione delle attivi- tà prima individuate una maggiore consapevolezza del ruolo centrale dell’elaborazione digitale. In particolare, appare sempre più evidente il superamento del paradigma operativo del digitale utilizzato come strumento di automazione di vecchie metodologie in favore del digitale inteso come ausilio per la definizione di nuovi processi.
