Lo spazio in profondità. La misura interiore in architettura

Starting from a passage by Fernando Pessoa, the essay reflects on the relationship between infinity, limit and architectural space. Through a critical dialogue with Schinkel, Burke, Távora, Rogers and Rudofsky, the text interprets Eduardo Souto de Moura's Casa a Moledo as an architecture of interior depth, where the boundary does not exclude the world but gives it measure and intensity. The house becomes a device through which landscape, matter and dwelling converge, revealing how the universal can emerge from a radical adherence to place and material conditions.
