Il fenomeno dell’immigrazione a Roma

The essay, in the chapter "The Suburbs Rome: city of men and stones," proposes, from the reflection on the change in center-periphery relations induced by the dynamics of integration of the contemporary city, the results of a search of the SAD and Departments DIPTU University "La Sapienza" of Rome, on changes of immigration in Rome, on the geographical distribution of the immigrant population, the policies of support for immigrants and, finally, on the situation of physical and social segregation of Roma camps and temporary settlements in Rome . Abstract The English essay, Mentioned in the chapter "The Suburbs Rome: city of men and stones", starting with a reflection of an ever-changing relations between the outskirts and city-center two to the development of a contemporary city, suggests us the outcome of a research on the carried by the SAD and the DIPTU Departments of the University of Rome "La Sapienza". The research Underlines the changes of the immigration phenomenon in Rome, the geographical distribution of immigrant population, the support policies for immigrants, the physical and social segregation of the Roma camps and temporary settlements in Rome.

Il saggio, all’interno del capitolo “Periferie romane: città di uomini e di pietre”, propone, a partire dalla riflessione sul mutato rapporto centro-periferia indotto dalle dinamiche di integrazione della città contemporanea, i risultati di una ricerca dei Dipartimenti DAU e DIPTU dell’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma, sulle modificazioni del fenomeno immigratorio a Roma, sulla diffusione territoriale della popolazione immigrata, sulle politiche di sostegno agli immigrati e infine sulla situazione di ghettizzazione fisica e sociale dei campi rom e degli insediamenti temporanei a Roma.
