The ancient monastic complex of San Cosimato, also known over the centuries as San Cosma or Santi Cosma e Damiano, is a religious settlement located a short distance from Vicovaro, along the Via Tiburtina Valeria, to the north-west and overlooking the Aniene river valley to the south-east. The site is a place of territorial triangulation at the confluence of the Aniene valley with the Giovenzano and Licenza valleys, of great significance and value for the territorial, landscape and artistic-architectural history of the Tiburtina area.
