The survey, a fundamental research tool, stands, in its critical sense, as a method and means at the basis of historical-architectural knowledge and an indispensable element for understanding buildings and their stratification. An example of an extremely articulated and stratified historical fabric is represented by the contrada that is the subject of this analysis, the first nucleus of the town of Ciciliano founded between the 11th and 12th centuries.
