Various elements contribute to the complexity of historic centers, producing changes but also fractures, sometimes profound, between the different users of the places. The study, which focused on the four towns in the Lower Aosta Valley, was based on the need to enhance the territory, recognizing an intrinsic relationship between these centers in terms of territorial continuity, including environmental, infrastructural, cultural, and social aspects. It was conceived as a complex territory, in which the city fits into the landscape with its own qualities, with the ability to establish tangible and intangible networks with the context. Just as an atom does not become a molecule without a connection, the four centers reconnect with each other and with the territory. From this perspective, each takes on the role of an active node within a larger territorial network, engaging with the other centers through the definition of new local services, the enhancement of accessibility, the enhancement of open spaces, and the activation of economic and social relationships.

Abstract
From this perspective, each takes on the role of an active node within a larger territorial network, engaging with the other centers through the definition of new local services, the enhancement of accessibility, the enhancement of open spaces, and the activation of economic and social relationships.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
