Pari opportunità, informazione e territorio: Uno sguardo intersezionale

ORA -Regional Anti-Discrimination Observatory - of Piedmont represents a first example of action-research on local journalistic language from an intersectional perspective. Based on the first results of the research conducted between July 2021 and March 2022, this contribution intends to explore the issues of inclusive representations and languages in the local information of Piedmont, a Region in Northern Italy. Using the technique of content analysis applied to local information and used as a stimulus for subsequent ethnographic research, the research aimed to grasp the local specificities, stereotypes and opportunities of a media ecosystem in close contact with the community it reports on. From this point of view, local (or proximity) information remains a cognitive resource for a deeper understanding of the inclusion or exclusion effects in policies and public discourses of equal opportunity and gender relations issues.
