This article examines the methodological and stylistic features that characterize Giorgio Levi Della Vida's epigraphic studies, focusing on his work in the field of Asian Semitic epigraphy (Aramaic, Phoenician, Ancient Hebrew). The analysis of a selection of his epigraphic contributions (Bar Hadad, Siloam, Bahadirli, Karatepe, Aśoka, Pyrgi) reveals the distinctive traits of his scholarly approach: philological rigor, the ability to establish interdisciplinary connections through his vast Semitic erudition, and a tendency toward innovative interpretive proposals often positioned dialectically in relation to contemporary debate. The study highlights how Levi Della Vida alternated between brief, detailed interventions on already known documents and preliminary publications of major epigraphic discoveries, demonstrating remarkable methodological versatility and an aptitude for broader historical reconstructions.

Abstract
The study highlights how Levi Della Vida alternated between brief, detailed interventions on already known documents and preliminary publications of major epigraphic discoveries, demonstrating remarkable methodological versatility and an aptitude for broader historical reconstructions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
