The article assesses the situation of the research about Ancient Greek loanwords in Albanian. Their number, which is clearly overestimated, should be lowered, as both phonological and chronological issues lead us to conclude that at least 15 Albanian nouns out of 34 no longer can be regarded as loanwords from Ancient Greek.
