The essays collected in this book examine the different modes of interaction, osmosis and correlation between the subject and the natural environment, and propose an alternative ecocritical paradigm for reinterpreting the German literary and cultural canon in light of new perspectives and hermeneutic practices capable of confronting a diffusely interspecific nature, always viscous and disturbed. Divided into three different sections, the essays analyse the environmental shift in contemporary German theatre, reconstruct the rhetoric of metamorphosis from the pages of J.W. Goethe to today's poetry, and finally venture into the semiosis of contaminated territories, experimenting with non-anthropocentric readings of literary works in their material relationships with ecosystems.

Abstract
The essays collected in this book examine the different modes of interaction, osmosis and correlation between the subject and the natural environment, and propose an alternative ecocritical paradigm for reinterpreting the German literary and cultural canon in light of new perspectives and hermeneutic practices capable of confronting a diffusely interspecific nature, always viscous and disturbed. Divided into three different sections, the essays analyse the environmental shift in contemporary German theatre, reconstruct the rhetoric of metamorphosis from the pages of J.W. Goethe to today's poetry, and finally venture into the semiosis of contaminated territories, experimenting with non-anthropocentric readings of literary works in their material relationships with ecosystems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
