The chapter investigates the prohibition of abuse of the economic depen- dence of a company that makes use of the intermediation services of a digital plat- form, and offers an exegesis of Art. 9 Law No. 192/1998, also in the light of the recent sentence rendered by the Council of State in the case Siae v. Meta. The investigation on economic dependence also unveils the delicate problem of the coordination of Art. 9 of the aforementioned law with the DMA.
