By integrating the previous article ‘Reflections on the Construction of the Chiesa Nuova and Oratorian Architecture between the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries’, this paper details the criteria adopted in producing 3D reconstructive models of drawings held in the Archive of the Congregation of the Oratory in Rome, attributed to Martino Longhi the Elder, Giacomo della Porta, and Girolamo Quadrio. This process—matching data from the drawings with on-site measurements and archival information—was intended not only to elucidate the various project phases but also to reconstruct the appearance of the church between 1607 and 1633, prior to the Baroque renovation of the vaults by Pietro da Cortona. Finally, 3D modelling has proven to be a valuable critical tool for the study of the building and has deepened understanding of the architects’ stylistic approaches.
