Methodological pluralism and the role of argumentative rationality within legal science reveal the tension between the autonomy of law and its interplay with other fields of knowledge, a tension all the more inescapable due to the increasing complexity of the socio-economic reality which law regulates. The consequence is the need for interpretative rigour which, without indulging either in creative drifts or in economic reductivism, preserves law’s distinctive normative function and legal certainty. In this perspective, economics law presents itself as the paradigmatic area for a transdisciplinary configuration of legal method, capable of reconciling the unity of legal science with sectoral specificity.

Abstract
Methodological pluralism and the role of argumentative rationality within legal science reveal the tension between the autonomy of law and its interplay with other fields of knowledge, a tension all the more inescapable due to the increasing complexity of the socio-economic reality which law regulates. The consequence is the need for interpretative rigour which, without indulging either in creative drifts or in economic reductivism, preserves law’s distinctive normative function and legal certainty. In this perspective, economics law presents itself as the paradigmatic area for a transdisciplinary configuration of legal method, capable of reconciling the unity of legal science with sectoral specificity.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
