The suitable/adequate space is one that meets the needs of those who inhabit it, influencing the well-being and experience of its users. Architecture has the task of addressing both functional and emotional needs, creating environments that protect and stimulate. For Heidegger, the idea of space is tied to dwelling as care and refuge, where space is not just emptiness but is shaped by those who occupy it. The reflection draws on the example of the Barbapapa house, designed by Annette Tison and her husband Talus Taylor in 1972, a house that is built around its inhabitant.

Lo spazi idoneo è quello che risponde alle necessità di chi lo abita, condizionando il benessere e l’esperienza di chi lo vive. L’architettura ha il compito di rispondere alle esigenze funzionali ma anche emotive, creando ambienti che proteggano e stimolino. L’idea di spazio, per Heidegger, è legata all’abitare come cura e rifugio, dove lo spazio non è solo vuoto, ma è modellato in base a chi lo occupa.
