In 1962 Rosa Del Conte published the monograph Eminescu o dell’Assoluto; thirty years later she published an anthology, Poesie (1989). These volumes, different in structure and content, highlight the linguistic-interpretative skills of the translator, but also different “editorial” needs. In the first volume, the translation plays the role of a necessity, determined by the lack of knowledge of the Romanian language in Italy. In the second text, however, the translation no longer proposes itself as an instrument of understanding, it becomes the protagonist. These are therefore two divergent and complementary dimensions, which allow the reader to observe, dynamically, a decadeslong translation process. This study aims to reconstruct the translation process that leads from the verses translated for the volume Eminescu o dell’Assoluto to the variant version published in Poesie.

Abstract
This study aims to reconstruct the translation process that leads from the verses translated for the volume Eminescu o dell’Assoluto to the variant version published in Poesie.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
