Myths of origin are so important in the history of mankind because they serve as models for human acts of creation and, among others, for the making of a work of art. Ever since the beginning of the western literary tradition poets have looked with increasing concern at the relationship between creation and the making of a literary text. Religious traditions all over the world, extending as far back in time as written records, shaped their own creation story to explain how the world began and when life started. This book provides an innovative perspective on issues related to myths of origin in that it links this subject to artistic creation and namely to literary creation by adopting a multidisciplinary approach

Abstract
Myths of origin are so important in the history of mankind because they serve as models for human acts of creation and, among others, for the making of a work of art. Ever since the beginning of the western literary tradition poets have looked with increasing concern at the relationship between creation and the making of a literary text. Religious traditions all over the world, extending as far back in time as written records, shaped their own creation story to explain how the world began and when life started. This book provides an innovative perspective on issues related to myths of origin in that it links this subject to artistic creation and namely to literary creation by adopting a multidisciplinary approachI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
