Inter-organizational Institutional Constructs as Complex System Organizations. The analysis of a case study: Hangar Piemonte

This discussion identifies, within the dialogic processes activated across territories, the potential to recognise inter-organizational institutional devices as generative bridges between project studies and governance studies in the cultural sector. Due to the dynamic, open, and complex nature of these devices, it becomes possible—through the lens of a continuous observer (Cravera, 2021)—to interpret the effectiveness produced by accompanying a set of experimental initiatives which, at the micro level, generate impacts on public policies at the macro level (Edmondson et al., 2019; Geels, 2002; Kern et al., 2019; Markard et al., 2012). This contribution adopts a meso-level perspective, in which the institution under investigation is analysed through its strategic intervention and action, understood as a shared process of exploration and transformation of its territorial context.
