The past was full of shades and colours. Subject to further degradation, the chance to revert the damage of coloured collection may be permanently gone. The exhibition “Perceive Isis’ Colour” aims at soliciting a reflection on this problem and at inviting visitors to experience the beauty of our fragile and coloured classical past. The exhibition is centred around the re-discovery of the Temple of Isis in Pompeii and of its coloured collection, conserved at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN). It is divided in two sections, which presents PERCEIVE Caring and Authenticity Prototypes: “Echoes of Loss” and “The Gifts of Isis”.
