The thorax is a common site of metastasis from various cancer sites, which may involve the pleura, pericardium, heart, lungs, hilar or mediastinal lymph nodes, bone (chest wall and vertebrae) and muscle. Various symptoms and disorders could be fostered, such as cough, dysphagia, dysphonia or hoarseness, due to compressive or infiltrative phenomena.
