Sul concetto di “dialetto sociale” nella linguistica sovietica degli anni Venti e Trenta del Novecento

The paper aims to restore, in its collective breath, the debate on the social differentiation of language that took place in Soviet linguistics between the midtwenties and the mid-thirties of the twentieth century. With the development of social linguistics, the concept of ‘social dialect’ entered the terminological conceptual apparatus of Soviet linguistics. This notion, variously interpreted, underwent a clear semantic evolution, representing a crucial node through which it is possible to measure the epistemological transition to “Marxist” linguistics of the Thirties and the revision of European sociological heritage.
