Objective of this contribution is to initiate a reflection to understand the trends emerging from some recent projects. The first case is an ongoing experience that initiates the application of planning directives as they have been defined in the ordinary programming process. The second case is a project that utilizes resources for economic development and social and territorial cohesion, additional to the ordinary programming, which is implemented through the Institutional Development Contract for the Molise region (CIS Molise). The third case study is an intervention to enhance a local pedestrian path, the “Via dei Pastori,” which connects the municipalities of Torre Pellice, Villar Pellice, and Bobbio Pellice. From the case studies, it emerges the awareness that the recovery of historical structures does not end with the maintenance/innovation of the road surface. However, the actions diversify. The third case foresees a still active practice of transhumant pastoralism that contributes to the construction/conservation of landscapes. In the first two cases, significantly, the agricultural entrepreneur is preferred over the itinerant shepherd “as maintainer and custodian of the territory”.

Abstract
In the first two cases, significantly, the agricultural entrepreneur is preferred over the itinerant shepherd “as maintainer and custodian of the territory”.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
