Eulogia negli Atti di Kāleb

The eulogia dealt with in a chapter of the Traditio Apostolica (§ 24 = § 29B) attested mainly from the two Ethiopic versions E1, from late antiquity, and E2, redacted in the Middle Ages, practically coinciding in this passage, finds a striking parallel in a passage from the Acts of Kāleb (Gadla Kāleb, CAe 6507) still unpublished. These represent a further Ethiopic version of the Martyrium Arethae, different from the more common version known as the Acts of Ḫirut (Gadla Ḫirut, CAe 1891). The correspondence in terminology suggests that the elaboration of the Acts of Kāleb must have taken place in an environment and context of great liturgical and linguistic sensitivity.

La eulogia di cui tratta un capitolo della Traditio Apostolica (§ 24 = § 29B) tramandato principalmente dalle due versioni etiopiche E1, di età tardo antica, ed E2, redatta in età medievale, praticamente coincidenti in questo passo, trova un sorprendente parallelo in un passo degli Atti di Kāleb (Gadla Kāleb, CAe 6507) ancora inediti. Questi rappresentano una ulteriore versione etiopica del Martyrium Arethae, diversa dalla più comune versione nota come Atti di Ḫirut (Gadla Ḫirut, CAe 1891). La corrispondenza terminologica suggerisce che l’elaborazione degli Atti di Kāleb dovette svolgersi in un ambiente e in un contesto di grande sensibilità liturgica e linguistica.
