Disegno per la Moda | Drawing for Fashion

Drawing for Fashion was born from a longstanding collaboration between the Faculties of Architecture and Humanities at Sapienza University of Rome. In an interdisciplinary field like fashion, drawing emerges as an essential tool for observing, analyzing, and creating. The volume documents the integration of drawing into the degree programs in Fashion and Costume Sciences and Fashion Studies, offering students tools to develop aesthetic vision and representational skills. It gathers drawings, reflections, and testimonies from a teaching approach based on seeing and making, where the pencil becomes a critical and creative instrument, capable of interpreting the past, engaging with the present, and imagining new scenarios. A publication that serves as both archive and manifesto, paying tribute to the beauty of drawing and the strength of academic collaboration.

Disegno per la Moda nasce da una consolidata collaborazione tra le Facoltà di Architettura e di Lettere di Sapienza Università di Roma. In un ambito interdisciplinare come quello della moda, il disegno si afferma come strumento essenziale per osservare, analizzare e creare. Il volume documenta l’integrazione del disegno nei corsi di laurea in Scienze della Moda e del Costume e Fashion Studies, offrendo agli studenti strumenti per sviluppare visione estetica e competenze rappresentative. Raccoglie disegni, riflessioni e testimonianze di una didattica del vedere e del fare, in cui la matita è strumento critico e creativo, capace di interpretare il passato, dialogare con il presente e immaginare nuovi scenari. Una pubblicazione che è insieme archivio e manifesto, omaggio alla bellezza del segno e alla forza della collaborazione accademica.
