Frammenti e lacune urbane. Considerazioni e operatività di Vincenzo Fasolo sul Palazzo di Diocleziano a Spalato e sulle ricostruzioni a Catanzaro

The dissertation analyses some remarks by Vincenzo Fasolo on fragments in the urban fabric, trying to understand his different approaches towards the remains. By reading the architect’s notes, it is possible to detect his opinion on the debate on the ancient architectural elements of the Diocletian’s Palace, in Split, as well as his explanation of the projects for Catanzaro’s reconstruction, after the Second World War. The outcomes differ depending on his inclination and will to preserve the fragments.
