Within the rich manuscript tradition of Galen’s Commentary on the Aphorisms, some codices from the Palaiologan Period have yet to be studied. Among these, the Vaticanus graecus 280 and the Vaticanus Palatinus graecus 385 are the focus of this contribution. By presenting their contents and by analyzing their errors in comparison with the other main manuscripts transmitting the fifth book of Galen’s Commentary, Giulia Ecca aims to establish their role in the stemma codicum and in the transmission of Galen’s work.

Abstract
Within the rich manuscript tradition of Galen’s Commentary on the Aphorisms, some codices from the Palaiologan Period have yet to be studied. Among these, the Vaticanus graecus 280 and the Vaticanus Palatinus graecus 385 are the focus of this contribution. By presenting their contents and by analyzing their errors in comparison with the other main manuscripts transmitting the fifth book of Galen’s Commentary, Giulia Ecca aims to establish their role in the stemma codicum and in the transmission of Galen’s work.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
