Il mercato pubblico fra memoria urbana e contemporaneità

If in modernity the market is formalized as a public building and architectural type, today its value in relation to the needs of the urban community is in crisis. Based on these premises, the text proposes new meanings and principles of the contemporary public market. This argument, which follows a research by the DIAP of the Sapienza in Rome along with the IX Municipality of the city, is based on the critical study of two very different examples from European urban history, namely Les Halles in Paris and Spinaceto market in Rome.
