This essay explores how cultural revisionism (prejudicially referred to as cancel culture or woke culture) is influencing the current art discourse, by focusing on two aspects: the importance of the author's moral conduct in art criticism, and the different perception of cultural revisionism in the Italian and Anglo-Saxon contexts (the U.S. in particular).
