The research is focused on the gender work gap in listed science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) companies. Today, there still remains a gap between men and women workers in the technological industries, and it is of great importance to understand how the same companies are committed to overcoming these critical issues. The purpose of this research is to describe how a high-tech company by sector deals with the issue of gender and what are the results obtained in this direction. The research methodology applied to this paper is the qualitative method through the application of the case study analysis. We selected a privatal case study. Source of analysis were data analysis by 2022 and a survey. The research is ongoing. We have seen how an Italian listed company representing the STEM sector is addressing the male–female gap in a commendable way, also achieving results above other listed companies in the world. The issue of this gap in listed Italian STEM companies has not been explored in depth so far. In fact, the research delves into the theme of the female–male working gap not simply in listed companies but in those with high technological potential, within the Italian experience. This represents a novelty compared to the traditional reference literature. Our study and results are a useful baseline for academic and practitioners’ implications about the evolution of the research in work gap between women and men in STEM enterprises.

Abstract
Our study and results are a useful baseline for academic and practitioners’ implications about the evolution of the research in work gap between women and men in STEM enterprises.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
