"Intergenerational tourism" is one of the new forms of tourism, an opportunity to know each other, through a tourism-cultural experience, among participants of different generations -unrelated by family ties- and defined "Grandparents and Grandchildren" because of the climate that is established, similar to that of the family. Here studies have included participants from different countries over time, in favour of Interculture. The main results obtained made it possible to identify a common pattern in the evolution of communication and relationships between participants: stages of "approach," "acquaintance," and "empathy." The Grandparents and Grandchildren of Viterbo group, with a deep value dimension, also implements the "generative creativity" represented by the "Pact between generations" for: - local memory/culture, with artistic forms (such as amateur theater or exhibitions of the works of sculptor Roberto Bassetto) that are also found in other contexts such as Treviglio (BG, 2023); - The Environment with the planting of urban woods ("A Tree for Life") and the "cultivation" of products and intercultural, intergenerational, interreligious relations within the Caritas Solidarity Gardens. This inspired the birth of the R.O.S.A. (Rete Orti Solidali Amici) Viterbo network inserted within the Intergenerational Values and Environmental Education Path implemented by ACLI with the contribution of the Lazio Region.

Abstract
A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. (Associazione Ricerche Interdisciplinari Psicologia del Turismo-Formazione, Ricerca, Progettualità), in agreement with A.I.QUA.V. since 2022, carries out research and projects, promoting an innovative formula of Sustainable Tourism. "Intergenerational tourism" is one of the new forms of tourism, an opportunity to know each other, through a tourism-cultural experience, among participants of different generations -unrelated by family ties- and defined "Grandparents and Grandchildren" because of the climate that is established, similar to that of the family. The studies use multitheoretical and multimethod approaches proper to social psychology. From Northern Italy (PCTO modality): Sfruz (TN, since 2000), San Pellegrino Terme (BG, since 2016), Treviglio (BG, 2023)... such research/experiments have also extended to: Lazio, Sardinia, Tuscany, configuring itself as a national project. The presentation focuses on the context of Viterbo, where the Grandparents and Grandchildren group, expression of Caritas and ACLI, has been active since 2002, in collaboration with A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. (Rete Orti Solidali Amici) Viterbo network inserted within the Intergenerational Values and Environmental Education Path implemented by ACLI with the contribution of the Lazio Region.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
