Historical geography and the "problem of damage." Reflections based on research experience regarding the 1783 Calabrian-Messina seismic crisis

The Second Seminar of Project ProSiMo II presents the final results of the international collaboration "Tools for researching and documenting historical landscape: historical text mining, remote sensing, HGIS and virtualization", as a starting point for reflecting on the beginning of the new ProSiMo II and ProSiMo-APP initiatives. This international encounter will provide an overview of the progress made by the research and work teams, including reports on documental study and fieldwork, considering also broader applications to geo-historical research. The seminar aims to bridge conclusions from past experiences to the future perspectives of the new projects.
