The text proposed for this contribution is one of its kind in that it consists of a succinct yet rather comprehensive index/listing of interconnected topics to be ascribed to the taxonomic framework of acknowledged Mahāyāna tenets. I advance the hypothesis that it could represent a sort of pedagogical outline, with relevant themes often singled out in the interlinear notes with the support of ‘key words’, to be operatively utilised by mentors and instructors, specifically for the use of the clergy. The text will be presented in its entirety in translation. It will be briefly analysed from a hermeneutic-soteriological standpoint and will be observed as an example or case of legitimising literary production within the relevant historical epoch which, in terms of socio-political and doctrinal transitions, had significant and consequential implications for the religious history of Tibet.
