The Subapennine has been widely studied in recent years, and the occurrence at many sites of Aegean-Mycenaean type pottery (either imported or locally produced) offers the possibility of cross-dating with the Aegean chronology. Yet, its absolute chronology and that of sub- phases remain problematic, particularly taking into consideration the results of fresh 14C dates. By reconsidering the available data, this paper aims at discussing the main problematic points and possible strategies to address the issue.

Abstract
The Subapennine has been widely studied in recent years, and the occurrence at many sites of Aegean-Mycenaean type pottery (either imported or locally produced) offers the possibility of cross-dating with the Aegean chronology. Yet, its absolute chronology and that of sub- phases remain problematic, particularly taking into consideration the results of fresh 14C dates. By reconsidering the available data, this paper aims at discussing the main problematic points and possible strategies to address the issue.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
