With the evolving discipline of landscape architecture, the role played by the cartographic approach in the landscape governance process has become increasingly selective and restrictive. This may obscure relevant factors involved in the landscape governance process, such as group participation, landscape dynamics, landscape complexity, and equity. Consequently, to better address the increasingly unknown global challenges of today’s era, landscape architecture requires an inclusive and integrated landscape approach that considers cultural, economic, social, environmental, and other factors. Currently, there is no clear and unified concept of integrated landscape governance methods. Integrated landscape governance can be understood as multi-sectoral, multi-participant, and multi-level interactions aimed at solving social problems and creating social opportunities at the landscape level, providing a comprehensive approach to global challenges. Integrated landscape approaches are mainly used in the research of large-scale and macroscopic landscape governance frameworks, such as regional landscape planning and regional land use integration. However, the concept of inclusiveness is still rarely involved in such studies. Therefore, this paper interprets a novel framework for inclusive and integrated landscape governance at the micro-scale level by incorporating multi-group participation, inclusive decision-making, multifunctional landscapes, multidisciplinary intersection, long-term dynamic management, environmental inclusion, social inclusion, proximity to nature, equity, accessibility, adaptability, and sustainability into a newly integrated inclusive landscape governance approach. This framework will be presented in conjunction with a case study of Corviale inclusive landscape governance and restoration.

Abstract
This framework will be presented in conjunction with a case study of Corviale inclusive landscape governance and restoration.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
