Abstract
Voices that evoke imagination have made radio drama a powerful tool for exploring dystopian themes. Following a brief introduction to Orson Welles' iconic "The War of the Worlds" (1938), this presentation will delve into the Italian radio drama landscape, examining the resurgence of radiophonic techniques between the 1940s and 1960s. The paper focuses on two Primo Levi’s radiodramas, "Il versificatore" (1960) and "La bella addormentata nel frigo" (1961) that anticipate contemporary concerns, exploring themes of IA and the obsession with physical appearance. The paper also highlights the 2021 "Scienza e fantascienza dal Valle" project by Teatro Valle a radio-theatre iniziative born during COVID-19.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
