This paper proposes a reconsideration of documentary evidence for petitiones and dationes tutoris in the Roman empire. Whereas previous scholars believed that no surviving datio tutoris on papyrus was a Doppelurkunde, diplomatics and the comparison between western and eastern texts lead to the conclusion that P.Oxy. XII 1466 is in fact a double document. Similar cases can be recognised in P.Oxy. LXXXV 5513 and perhaps in P.Oxy. XXXIV 2710.

Abstract
This paper proposes a reconsideration of documentary evidence for petitiones and dationes tutoris in the Roman empire. Whereas previous scholars believed that no surviving datio tutoris on papyrus was a Doppelurkunde, diplomatics and the comparison between western and eastern texts lead to the conclusion that P.Oxy. XII 1466 is in fact a double document. Similar cases can be recognised in P.Oxy. LXXXV 5513 and perhaps in P.Oxy. XXXIV 2710.File allegati a questo prodotto
