The contribution aims to investigate reconstruction in the then Pas-de-Calais region in France, in the aftermath of the Great War, through the work of Pierre Paquet in Arras and in comparison with other examples in the region. Commissioned by the French State, can be seen as a reaction to the ‘tabula rasa’.
